Hello, my name is Nicolas Wessels. A famous quote by one of my idols Tupac stated, “Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.” I am a 21 year old music producer, songwriter, engineer, composer, sound designer, aspring musician, and with a bachelors degree in Music Production. I’m from a small town of Williamsburg, Iowa a population of 3000. After attending the University of Iowa I turned to following my dreams of becoming a music industry professional. I just knew that the best career for me and something that I could keep my heart focused on was creating music. At the time, I was a certified nursing assistant and even had a job with one of the best hospitals in the country. Music was always something that I could rely on that gets me emotionally connected and being involved with creating something that connects me with other individuals going through similiar emotions. I believe that music can heal the world, create a positive environment, and will create something that lasts a lifetime. I want to get the focus back on the artists creativity, give back to the people who enjoy my music, innovate a new way of hearing music on the radio. As a professional, communication is the most important factor in driving different groups of people towards the same common goals and passions. Full Sail was filled with tons of networking opportunities, events, and many different paths that allow everyone to diversify into one, which is what makes it so special, and has qualified me as a music industry professional. What really drives my passion is to have my music impact someone emotionally, and have it relate to wide array of fan base. My influences range from all different kinds of genres, but with a favorite in Hip Hop. My ultimate goal is to diversify myself into producing for albums, artists, films, videos, games, and starting out as a freelancer in areas of audio production/engineering.
